The Phrase “Alchemical Wealth Building” can be parsed in two ways-‘Alchemical Wealth’ building as in the building of “Alchemical Wealth” and Alchemical ‘Wealth Building’ approaching building wealth in an Alchemical fashion. At first glance these might seem like different things however it is not possible to be an alchemical ‘wealth builder’ without first and foremost being an ‘Alchemical Wealth’ builder.
Alchemical Wealth is the treasures no thief can steal and no moths can eat. It is what you get from authentic inner alchemy- inner transformation. Wisdom, compassion, unconditional happiness, unconditional bliss, true freedom- these are examples of Alchemical Wealth.
One cannot even begin to build external wealth in an alchemical fashion until one at least intellectually understands that no kind of external wealth (be it money and that which it buys, relationships, achievements, “power”, recognition or even health) can actually be a source of true happiness. To the degree that ones aim at building wealth is based on the mistaken belief…(read more)

The first major wave of technological development massively increased our physical power, range and capacity. We learned to leverage our physical strength to be more powerful in battle, travel farther faster, move heavier things, grow more food travel over bodies of water and host of other extension of physical prowess. While this wave continued to expand our physical power, the second wave of development increased our conceptual power. At first this wave expanded more slowly, first with writing, then many centuries later, printing. But in the middle of the last century technology to leverage our conceptual power began to evolve at exponential rates and has now surpassed our physical leveraging power even though it aids us in evolving physical leveraging technology even faster. There is third wave of technological evolution that is has been steadily growing and is on the verge of exponential growth: technology to accelerate our spiritual evolution and personal transformation. The first two wave increased our ability to effect our outer world; this third wave increases our ability to inner world. Einstein observed our technological growth had surpassed our moral/spiritual growth. This third wave that is rapidly gaining momentum will help address that imbalance.
These new technologies play a key role in… (read more)

Part 2- The Two Truths as antidote
Understanding the Principle of the Two Truths helps pacify these problems. Intellectual understanding alone will not completely prevent dogmatic fixation, because the root of dogmatic fixation is the identity fixation that results from lack of direct recognition of Absolute Truth. Thus only that direct realization will prevent all dogmatic fixation. However, the more deeply we understand the Principle of Two Truths, the weaker and less pervasive the tendency towards dogmatic fixation becomes.
Even intellectual understanding of the Principle of the Two Truths increases …(read more)

Vajrayana and Bon
In the previous post I mentioned Bon as a fifth school to be counted among the Buddhist schools of Tibet. The word Bon is a label for the spiritual/religious practices most prevalent in Tibet before the spread of Buddhism there. Bon is still practiced in Tibet and is divided in two streams. One is called lower Bon and is a shamanistic in style and often includes animal sacrifice which is prohibited in all styles of Buddhist Practice (and Yungdrung Bon). The Other is called Yungdrung Bon or Eternal Bon or Higher Bon. Yungdrung Bon is, in many way, practically indistinguishable form Vajrayana Buddhism particularly the Nyingma School. There are multiple accounts for the origin of this similarity. The Nyingma (which literally means ‘ancient’) is the first school to take shape in Tibet. According to one account…(read more)

The most common error made in regards to the two truths is to mistake relative truth for absolute truth. This frequently takes the form of mistaking the designations and indications for Absolute Truth as Absolute Truth itself and/or mistaking the methods (including the beliefs) for realizing Absolute Truth ( as Absolute Truth. This is known as Dogma. This also happens more subtly simply from a lack of recognition that there are Two Truths. It is our a subtle habit of our minds to take all truth as Truth. We often fail recognize the that any truth we can give words to is a relative truth. This habit of dogmatizing applies to all truths not just those concerned with Absolute Truth and truths concerning religion and spirituality but with all relative truths.
The other most common mistake… (read more)

Personal Alchemy is concerned with the transformation of individuals. Transformation of oneself is the first responsibility of a Global Alchemist and the basis for his or her capacity to initiate and guide the transformation of systems. The transformative capacity of a Global Alchemist is directly proportional to the progress of his own inner transformation. The Global Alchemist also understands that the transformation of systems is contingent on the transformation of the individuals that shape, sustain and manage the systems. Thus facility with personal transformation is paramount. However, you should not mistakenly draw the conclusion that you must therefore wait until you has mastered personal alchemy before you attempt to engage in actions intended to transform systems or support others in transforming themselves. For when engaged with the right attitude and motivation attempts at systems alchemy are also acts of personal alchemy. Indeed Alchemical Transformation occurs more quickly when it is aimed to benefit others. However for such attempts to have efficacy and personal transformative effect they must be engaged in concurrence with direct personal alchemy. That is to say they must be supported by daily alchemical practice of some form.
The purpose of this blog is to explore and to make available a wide array of alchemical practices both ancient and modern. This array includes methods based in material science as well as esoteric methods. It is important to understand that neither material science nor esoteric methods are necessarily inherently alchemical in nature but rather it is the intent by which they are applied that makes them alchemical
